5 Non-Profits We Support & Why

Updated: Jul 19, 2020

At The STL Mama, our mission is to support and empower women who have suffered and survived abuse. We do so by donating 10% of our profits to the following select five non-profits.

1.) Lydia's House

"Lydia’s House is the only transitional housing program in Eastern Missouri that is specifically for battered and abused women and their children and that offers the immediate community. They have 36 confidentially located, fully furnished apartments where their families in need can find refuge, safety, and support."

2.) The Covering House

"The Covering House provides refuge and restoration, using the least restrictive environment, for sexually exploited and trafficked children and teens, providing safety, dignity, and freedom utilizing top level staffing and oversight."

"ALIVE’s mission is to provide counseling, emergency sanctuary, and other critical services to adults and children impacted by domestic abuse, as well as to increase awareness in order to create a supportive community.

4.) The Women's Safe House

"The Women’s Safe House offers services for women and their children who have been subjected to domestic violence. They are the oldest and largest organization in the St. Louis area dedicated to helping women and children impacted by domestic abuse. The Women’s Safe House offers the support services needed to help empower women to escape the violence and get the help they need to make informed choices.

Their programs and services are free and confidential."

5.) Almost Home

"Almost Home empowers young moms to become self-sufficient and create a better future for themselves and their children. Their team exists to end the cycle of poverty two generations at a time. "
